I'm the Director of Administration and Information Systems at ADMO, Inc., a custom plastic injection molder in Elgin, Illinois. I joined ADMO in 2012 as an administrative assistant, and most of my career has been learning whatever the next problem required: HR, systems, reporting, and, lately, AI.
I was not an early adopter. I had real concerns about how AI models are trained and about intellectual property. I wasn't used to "talking" to software, and I didn't know where to start. So I started small, with one real problem. Then another. Today AI helps our team across administration, HR, quality, training, and our ERP data, and it has helped me build tools I never had the skills to build before.
My goal this year is "support, not solve": helping people work through their own problems instead of solving everything for them. This site is part of that. It's what I wish someone had handed me at the beginning.
